Born 1948. Joined the Board of Countrywide Assured Group plc in February 1986 and was Group Managing Director until end of 2006. Appointed as Group Chairman in January 2007. Qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1967 and was formerly Managing Director of Abbotts (East Anglia) Limited. Was appointed a Non-Executive Director of Jupiter Financial Income Trust PLC During 2001.
Grenville Turner
Group Chief Executive Officer
Born 1957. Joined Countrywide plc on 1 August 2006 as an Executive Director and became Group Chief Executive on 1 January 2007. Also a director of Countrywide Estate Agents. Qualified as a Chartered Banker in 1982 and holds an MBA from Cranfield Business School. Former roles have included Chief Executive, Intelligent Finance and Chief Executive, Business to Business at HBOS. Previous Directorships have included St James Place Capital plc, Sainsbury's Bank plc and Rightmove.co.uk Limited.
Jim Clarke
Group Chief Financial Officer
Joined the Group in November 2007. Was previously Finance Director and Company Secretary of JD Wetherspoon and previously worked for David Lloyd Leisure (a division of Whitbread plc) and HP Bulmer Holdings plc. A graduate of Stirling University and qualified as a chartered accountant in 1984.
Nick Dunning
Group Commercial Director
Joined the Group in September 2007, as Commercial Director responsible for the Lettings Division, Marketing, Corporate Development and IT. Previously Vice President and General Manager of Home and Small business, EMEA, for Dell Computers. Graduated from Oxford University in 1985 and is a qualified chartered accountant.
Paul Creffield
Corporate Projects Director and Chairman of the Conveyancing Division
Was formerly a Director of Countrywide Surveyors and other Group companies. Spent nearly two years at Rightmove.co.uk as one of the operational Managing Directors through a period of major growth before returning to Countrywide plc. Has extensive domain knowledge across the Group and was appointed as a member of the Executive Committee in June 2007.
Gerald R Fitzjohn
National Sales Director of the Estate Agency & Financial Services Division
Born 1949. Also a director of Countrywide Franchising Limited. He has been with the Group since 1974 and was formerly Managing Director of Taylors Estate Agents Limited. He was previously a director of Countrywide Assured Group plc, appointed on 7 December 1989.
Anthony H Ekins
Sales Director of the Estate Agency & Financial Services Division
Born 1944. Qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1965. Was previously Operations Director of Prudential Property Services, who acquired Ekins, Dilley and Handley in 1986. Joined the Group in 1990 and the Board of Countrywide Assured Group plc in January 1999.
Robert Scarff
Sales Director Estate Agency & Financial Services Division
Born 1959. Joined the Group as a Trainee Sales Negotiator with Taylors Estate Agents in 1978 and was appointed Managing Director of Dixons Estate Agents in 1991. Was instrumental in establishing the Group's conveyancing Division in 1997 and held the position of Managing Director of Dixons until 31 December 1998 when he was appointed to his current position. Is a Fellow of the National Association of Estate Agents and was appointed to the Executive Committee on 1 January 2005.
David Fletcher
Sales Director Estate Agency & Financial Services Division
Born 1952. Qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1983 and was formerly Managing Director of Abbotts Estate Agents Limited and has been with the Group for over 30 years. He was appointed to the committee on 1 January 2005.
John Hards
Managing Director of Countrywide Residential Lettings
Born 1956. A Chartered Surveyor, is a Director of the Association of Residential Lettings Agents and The Dispute Service, which has recently won a government contract to administrator The Tenancy Deposit Scheme. Was appointed to the Executive Committee on 29 November 2006.
Christopher P Shaw
Managing Director of Countrywide Surveyors
Born 1952. He qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1978 and is a Fellow and Vice President of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. He was formerly a director of Abbotts (East Anglia) Limited and previously a director of Countrywide Assured Group plc, appointed on 1 January 2002.

Born 1951. Qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1976. After a career in private practice, became a Director of Prudential Property Services Limited in 1987 and a Director of Halifax Estate Agencies Limited in 1990. Joined Countrywide in 1998 as Managing Director of Countrywide Franchising Limited. Was appointed to the Executive Committee on 30 November 2005.
John Williams
Director of Corporate Developments
Born 1954. Also a Director of Countrywide Principal Services Limited and Countrywide Estate Agents FS Limited. Was appointed to the Executive Committee on 24 May 2004. A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, with over 30 years experience in financial services including Lloyds Bank, HSBC and Yorkshire Building Society. Has worked on Industry Committees on the Mortgage Code and Sustainable Home Ownership.

Born 1964. Qualified as a Solicitor in 1990 and is a Chartered Company Secretary. Was previously the Company Secretary for Countrywide Assured Group plc, appointed on 27 November 2000. Was appointed to the Executive Committee on 24 May 2004.
